Catterpillars in the night
A creak and a creep by the leaf
Bending and shimmering by the
breeze now full
For that striding pompous chief
A trickle of sweat by the brain
A lustful raindrop by the lip
A dried out trace of a tear on
the cheek
A steely determined grip.
We trip together and laugh
We slip together by the dew
The stars twinkle and skies
light up
Red and orange and bright blue
Tired eyes watch on
The world begins once more
No walls, no ceiling and no
marble floor
It’s time…
Push past that broken door.
